Home of Stetson University, Florida’s oldest college, DeLand features a historic touch with the city’s various museums, art galleries, Athens Theater, and more. Looking to head out and explore the natural wonders surrounding DeLand? You need not look far to experience some of the best beaches in Florida in Daytona, where you’ll also find the Daytona International Speedway and the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America. Up the coast you’ll see St. Augustine, America’s oldest city. Nearby you’ll also find ample opportunities for boating, camping, picnicking, swimming, scuba diving, and fishing on the St. Johns River or at one of the nearby state parks.
